I'm trying to install Win-98 SE on the following:
- GigaByte motherboard 8KNXP (Intel 875 chipset)
- 3 ghz P-4, 512 mb system ram
- old S-3 based PCI video card

Can you please tell me how the wild card expansion is done in windows

This is principally about hardware, but I want to ask about it here, since
hardware experts abound. I'm running 98SE, so hopefully there's my admission
ticket. It's also a fairly long post, and I apologize for that in advance.

I need a data communication between application running on Windows and
application running on VxSim( VxSim is also running on Windows OS).
VxSim is VxWorks Simulator running on Windows OS. Both the applications
are on the same PC.

I have a Compaq notebook with a cd-rom that doesn't work.  When the
computer starts up the cd-rom tray pops out.  Is there an easy way to
disable the cd-rom in Windows 98, other than the 'remove' feature in
'System Properties'?  Thanks, for helping.

My Wife's Win98 computer is giving me fits. In every session the error pops
up "Rundll32 caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32" I've run
"Regiclean" and "Easy clean", defragged and scandisk all to no avail. Does
anyone have a suggestion what I might try next?

I've done this many times but yesterday [Saturday] I tried 4 times to
