The test results below are on my normal DUN telephone line, that is being
used for this message, on a different computer.
I had to install a different modem in a old Dell, no DUN history on this
computer..

I while back I overlapped a re-install to correct a lag @ bootup. Solved that
but now I have a DNS error in IE6 - no internet. I can receive/send email &
ping successfully. I was told the best thing to do would be un/re-install to

Hi to all,
Don't know if this is possible (or legal ?!)  but have two computers at home, not networked.  I have one ADSL modem (ethernet) that I have been using for original computer win98SE.  I also have winxp that I would like to occassionally go online with ie unplug ethernet ...

This computer runs Windows ME, but this is a very active newsgroup so
hopefully there will be an answer here.

I was experimenting with a piece of software which was going to

and "D" as slave.  I have recently used Karen's replicator

and I'd like to be sure he has all the latest/final updates.  Where can he go
to download any service packs or patches that were available at the time
Windows 98 became unsupported?
