Windows 98 SE proper licensing07 Feb 2007 05:36 GMT10
All the talk about WGA on XP and Vista has got me wondering if I'm

Couple of years back I was able to print things like the Device Mgr, etc

When the system boots, and later at random intervals, _something_ knocks
my A: drive a couple times. Certainly, it's nothing that I'm doing (I've
made no request to access it).

Windows 98 continuously rebooting05 Feb 2007 23:03 GMT7
I have a Dell OptiPlex GX150 running Windows 98 that for some reason has gone

reboots and goes back to the POST. It doesn't do this when in safe mode. I
can't figure out if it's a software or hardware ...

W98SE is loaded. This machine worked, was normally shut down.
Two days later I booted up, it stops at the mfg logo screen in POST, I
understand. I was advised to hold down the CTRL key, no help. Also, now the
power switch does not shut power off, have to pull the plug.
flash drive05 Feb 2007 10:48 GMT12
I was given a 1 GB Flash Drive and to my dismay notice it is not for 98SE -
only Windows ME, 2000 & XP.    Upon looking around in stores I see that is
true for all of them I find.
I tried it out anyhow and my computer could not find drivers for it.   Gee,

Win 98 and 98SE05 Feb 2007 08:06 GMT10
I have a couple of machines running Win 98 First Edition.  When software
requirements say they need Win98 SE or above, is there a reasonable
chance that the program will also work on Win 98 First Edition?
Thanks!
