98 crapping out at startup (deviceinit = vdd), shutdown message "writing  to device AUX" ?16 Mar 2007 05:41 GMT4
I'm fooling around with the new Asrock motherboard, and somehow
managed to get something screwed up.  At startup, during the win-98
spash screen, the speaker starts madly beeping and I can do nothing
except turn the system off.

Now, many sites are calling for flash 9. Will

Fed up with XP; way to enhance USB-compatibility in 98SE?15 Mar 2007 02:28 GMT20
I'm really fed up with XP.  I've been using it for last 4 months
because it came on this new computer but I'm sick and tired of its
problems and quirks.  There were only 2 issues I had with 98SE, anyway
(which wouldn't have stopped me continuing to use it):

They're now EXE files (self-executing WinZip.)
I would DEARLY love to have someone(s) proof these before I start

Time Zones Update12 Mar 2007 07:21 GMT9
It's next week, folks. I have written instructions and an EXE file that will

applet, change your time zone to some other Time Zone, click Apply, then
change it to your Time Zone and click OK.
