Hi. I'm having modem problems on a computer I just assembled. Asrock 775i65G motherboard, Intel Celeron 3.2 Ghz cpu, 512 Mb DIMM...Win 98 SE, Trendnet TFM-PCIV92A modem (says 98 SE compatible). I have one yellow question mark in Device Manager...on PCI System

I have a machine that will play DVDs. I want to upgrade to XP PRO. (Originally 98) Will I loose the PowerDVD program when I upgrade?

I do not have the 2 'load power profiles' or 'scanreg/restore' showing in msconfig. The only reason it was noticed was due to my reading a post here and intervene-ing by asking a question myself..... both people I have spoken with are unsure as to how to fix my problem and as to ...

I downloaded Norton Internet Security 2005 on my daughter's Compaq with Windows 98, IE 6.0.2800.1106CO, SP1. When I tried to install it, I got an error message "Installation has failed. Would you like to try again?"

I got an old computer that runs on Windows 98. I have the product key for the disc, but do not have the disc itself, and I would like to change some of the settings in Windows, but I can't do that without the disc. What do I do?

Hello! I have ADOBE ACROBAT(4.0) on my system. I don't use it that often. Just on occasion I may need to print off a PDF file. But recently noticed that it is 4.0 and possibly need an upgrade. What do you recommend? It it necessary?

With past help here, was able to create a DUN replacing an Ethernet connection. This machine has a Lucent winmodem, when creating the DUN it did get necessary files from my OS on CD, so in Properties, it appears normal for a DUN.

When I boot up my Windows 98 computer I get the following message: "TUN LPR" Followed by "TUN COMMON DLL COULD NOT BE LOADED" Followed by "ERROR 157 WHEN LOADING C:\PROG FIXES\PCN TERM\COMMON\TUNCM32.DLL"

I have a hard drive enclosure for my Bigfoot hard drive (Windows 98) and cannot load it onto Vista Home Premium. The PC appears to recognize the device, but nothing happens even though the hard drive is running and everything is hooked up.

I bought a used HP Pavilion 6511 with OEM Win98SE from a friend. The memory was upgraded from the original 64 MB in one slot + 128 + 128 MB in the other two vacant slots. I cleaned the interior of all dust, formatted the HD and reinstalled the OS as I did not want the old data ...

Got an old PC that I'm trying to install Windows 98 on? How do I find out whats in the machine in terms of devices ? So I can go and download the windows 98 drivers. For instance, its currently stuck at Standard PCI VGA graphics

In Windows 98 can you please tell me how I can create a system recovery checkpoint. I did this years ago and can't seem to remember how to do it. Also, can you please tell me how to go back and choose a restore point, either one that I created myself or that the computer created ...
