WFW 3.11 works wonderfully on a thumb/pen drive.  Installs perfect works
perfect.  95a also works perfect.  You have to tweak it by telling setup to
not do a hardware check.  Both are great OS's but you cannot do anything
with them anymore as no drivers are available.  98SE is ...

After shutdown, the message "Closing Network Connections" appears on the
screen even though I have never been on a network. Regarding the services,

Recently, I tried; to install 98se on an external hd. All seemed to go

Upgrading Win98 first edition to Win98SE on an older ThinkPad.  The 4G
HDD is partitioned in to C: & D: drives, 2G each.  The C: drive, where
the OS and apps are installed, is FAT.  I store data, utility backups
