What do I when I want to install XP PRO on a 98 machine and it says I don't
have enough RAM (64.00 MB required)? Should I install 2000 and then XP?

When installing Windows 98 SE using the original CD ROM, I get his message:
Not enough space on D
To install Win 98 on drive C, you need 21 mb of space on D.  D has only 1.4 mb
To take care of this problem, please remove some files from hard drive.  

I have a client that has a WINDOWS 98SE Laptop. He has been using the laptop
for years to connect to a handful of XP Pro computers using the Win98 RD
Client.

None of my Win98  computers  have Power Management capability, yet one
of them puts "Stand by" as a choice on the shut down menu. What causes
the difference in these menu lists? Can I modify it to remove the
"Stand by" choice?

Whevever I use Safe Mode, Windows 98 rearranges my icons on the
desktop. Is there a way to save my desktop configuration so I can
restore it when this happens?

Pretty sure I've had to do this before but can't find my notes.

I have tried to install a WD800 hard drive as a slave unsuccessfully.  The
BIOS recognizes the drive.  98SE System recognizes the drive.  However, "My
Computer" doesn't see the drive nor does the "Find" routine.  The drive was
previously working with XP and I suspect it is NTSF.  ...

No longer have the program but can't get rid of these keys. I deleted them
from the registry but they return. They just show up in the start up menu.
so pose no problem but I don't understand why I can't eliminate them. Found
two DLLs in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM zlcommdb and zlcomm but ...
