Hello all, I'm glad I found a group focusing on win 98! I have an old laptop that still runs great, but it has win 98 and no ethernet connection. I would rather buy a wireless card than a hard wire card for the PCMCIA slot, but can't seem to find one that says it

I also posted this to MS News server, hope it's ok to cross post. I have an old AOpen AX6BC motherboard. Per AOpens advise, I tried to install BIOS update so the system would recognize the larger drive I added to the system.

Okay, I have decided to do a clean install of 98SE. I have XP Professional installed on the D: drive and 98SE is on the C: drive. I have seen the following web page on the Internet but I don't want to risk messing up the XP Pro. install in any way if possible.

When I use the search feature in IE 6, I am most of the time re directed to some other search page, and it is not the page I opened from my search. The correct page will be there for a second or 2, but then I am re directed to a different search.

The COMDLG32.DLL file is linked to missing export USER32.DLL I get the above message whenever I try to open any program. I cannot save or run any program on that computer, which is a laptop with Windows 98 first edition.

I am able to play YouTube video/audio in Windows XP SP2 but NOT in Windows 98 SE! Is it NOT designed such as Skype which requires a minimum of Windows 2000? Is there any patch that requires to be downloaded and installed?
