I have several W98SE machines. One of them operates normally but has been
used for trial installs, and therefore had "moderate" registry cleaning.
On this machine, Recycle Bin/Properties, the "show confirmation on delete"

This is why it's perfectly reasonable to copy, distribute, download and
use Microsoft products and give the finger to their EULA and not pay any

I just find that my win.ini file contains references to program that has
been removed a long time ago, Paint Shop Pro.

I uninstalled old RichFX player from Add/Remove programs(there was just
entry in Add/Remove program list, but was no program itself in Program
files). The confirmation was shown that program was uninstalled.
Uninstallation removed also RichFX folder from C:\Program Files\Common

W98SE can, of course, get into problems with RAM usage.
This post is a need for a utility to measure RAM usage.

I just installed drivers for D-Link DFE520TX PCI ethernet adapter from CD
that comes with the adapter. Alongside the installing drivers, installer
created D-Link folder  in C:\Program Files\ with few extra folders (Vista,
Vista 64, Win64 and files Config.dat, DeviceInst.exe), and ...

I'm not exactly sure when this happened, but Microsoft has removed
approx. 535 groups from it's server.  21 of those pertain to windows-98.

I need a video driver for *Win98SE* for a video board labeled "2 the
Max" made by Focus Information Systems, with a TSENG LABS ET3000AX
video chip. I don't want a driver manager or a driver detector, I want
the actual driver.

I have no idea what has happened here, I think vista somehow messed
something up when I connected to a file share, but even that seems odd
since I've been doing this for 6 months. I'm using Windows 98SE and
have files shares on a LAN to a Vista 64 Home Premium machine.
