hi i have windows 98 but i recently purchased
a minidisc player and it comes with a cd for its
software, but it won't let me install it unless i have
windows 98SE or better.

We have an Dell Dimension V350 that we got in 1999. It has
Windows 98 R1 on it. Our printer is a HP Deskjet 712C. If
we update to Windows XP Home, will I need new drivers for

#1. I had to format my Computer hard drive after receiving
a lot of Windows 98 Updates on it. Do I need to try to get
those Updates re-loaded. If so, how do I go about getting
it done.

I am unable to access secure areas (view my bank
accounts).  I am using a new ISP.  They ensure that all my
settings were correct and suggested doing a windows
update.  However, I am unable to do that.  I got a new ISP

I have a home computer not on a network with a dial up
that gives me this message when I try to update:

To install items from Windows Update, you must be logged

Then tried to do Windows Update.  Got 'Software Update
Incomplete'.  Followed advice on Microsoft Site and added

I have received several e-mails with attachments that have

I had to reformat my hard drive after pc crashed after 3
years useage.  Now when I try to do a Windows Update I get
the message 'Software Update Incomplete'.  I carried out
the advice on Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 319585.

Using Win 98 Upgrade.  When I go to open OE the page opens
but immediately freezes up the machine.  Have scanned with
Norton AV several times with latest definitions.  No

Some of my email messages dont have 'highlighted' links
included in them. Therefore, I cant click into the
senders' site. Also some messages arent included in the
