Knowledge base article Q233017. Can you email the link to
download the same to above mentioned address.

Windows 98 2nd, IE 6.0. Window updates give me "windows
update error" 0x800a138f. Reloed IE, Clean cache and temp.
Did what is in article 315297. Still does not wwork?

For the past two weeks I haven't been able to access Update.
I scan for updates, then go to 100%, then I receive the error number
0x800A138F. I searched the Knowledge base and found one entry that seems to
apply mostly to Win2000, but followed the instructions with no resolve. I

Since MDAC 2.8 does not have the vulnerability described in MS03-033, is
there any reason why I can't just upgrade to MDAC 2.8?

I see that I'm not the only one having problems
downloading the latest windows updates.
Every time I try to download the updates, the message that

Yesterday I used Disk Cleanup (for the first and last

Later, I could not open Outlook Express.  The message

I had to reload Win98 and Explorer 6.0.
Supposedly this reloaded OE6 for me.
OE6 seems to be working ok unless I try to click on an
email url from a web page.
