I recently had to reinstall windows 98, but when I tried
to log onto the internet, the following message came up:-
 "Error starting program, the SHDOCVW.DLL file is linked
to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:509."

Lose modem settings when I shut down WIN9824 Aug 2003 01:10 GMT2
I installed an Agere 56k modem on a WIN98 machine.  The
modem installed correctly but upon re-booting had to be
reinstalled.  It seems as though the settings are not
being saved upon power down.  Any thoughts?
