Tried to download updates this a.m. and received the Error
#0X800A138F.  After reading all posts, I think there is a
problem with the actual update. I am running WIN98. Any
help will be appreciated.

Hello,
For some unknown reason, suddenly I can't access some
websites, such as Vanguard, a college, Fidelity and a
radio program with all my browswers including Explorer,

Do message rules work consistently?  I have some simple
filtering rules set up which work OK. I've tried to add a
rule to filter on subject and move to deleted box but it
won't work.  Ditto for filtering on content of message

Based on the recommendation of a site I have neglected to copy and
reference, I found a cure for the 0x800A138F problem.  They suggested
deleting C:\Program Files\Windows Update and that worked for me.

My computer for some reason dosent download from the
dialog box in windows updates, but it will download from
every were else......SO where do I find the latest

Recently I installed Explorer 6 and ever since then, every
time I turn on my computer, a notice appears headed PROXY
and it is that really annoying "This program has performed
an illegal operation......etc", message. Does anyone know

I have the same problem with them freezing. I have tried
26 times (I counted them)over the last couple of months
and each time. It shows the window, but it never dl even
when I don't do anything else with the computer but let it
