I have been having problems with IE 6.0 SP1 crashing out
when typing into either text boxes embedded in a web page,
or the address box itself in IE.  The error follows.

I know that Windows Update has gotten confused as it did NOT offer DX9b

I have used the quickRestore disc to get back to the
factory settings on my Compaq. I copied the Outlook
Express files so I could load them onto the cleanded up
version. The old files appear to be in the form of dbx

I have been without internet for 4 weeks now. One night I

my connection not working. I have been back and forth with
roadrunner, microsoft and dell. RR says it my computer and

My old, borrowed,  Win98SE PC will not accept an internal
modem. It runs an external one OK on COM2 but when trying
to install an internal, Windows does not find or 'see' a
COM3.

I upgraded to XP but now my messenger and netmeting only
works with XP friends all 98 contacts fail help!

I found out what was causing my update problem. My
Oleaut32.dll file was wrong for my 98 edition. This is
what I had to do.

when you open the oe inbox, it is divided into an upper
and lower part. i believe the lower part is called the
preview window. anyway if you highlight an item in the
upper window a preview of the item appears in the lower

Can anyone help me?  Our Outlook Express will often put a
bar on attachments saying something like the document "may
be unsafe" etc.  These include documents from a very safe
source and when we chose to still open it we cannot save
