Some time ago an mvp on this newsgroup advised me that deleted e-mails did not actually get completely removed from the computer but still took up space until you did something else to rid oneself of them for ever. Could you guide me on how to do this.

OE6 with XP sp2 I had trouble with Norton and OE last week so I took someone's advice and changed mapi32.dll to mapi32.old and I changed mapi3x.dll to mapi32.dll

Upon start-up of Microsoft Internet Explorer, we get an error message which reads that MIE has encountered a problem and needs to be shut down... We're wondering if this could be a modem issue? If not, what could be the cause and resolution?
