Some time ago an mvp on this newsgroup advised me that deleted e-mails did
not actually get completely removed from the computer but still took up
space until you did something else to rid oneself of them for ever.
Could you guide me on how to do this.

OE6 with XP sp2
I had trouble with Norton and OE last week so I took someone's advice
and changed mapi32.dll to mapi32.old and I changed mapi3x.dll to
mapi32.dll

Have been unable to recieve e-mails that were verified sent from one
individual.  Other contacts are getting this person's e-mails, just not me.
I have not blocked the address, nor is this person having the e-mails

Hey, I'm trying to upgrade an old 98 computer I have, and it's giving me some
major problems.  The trouble is, it's missing some drivers for the "PCI to
USB Host Controller".  I have a PCI dial-up modem, but the computer doesn't

Upon start-up of Microsoft Internet Explorer, we get an error message which
reads that MIE has encountered a problem and needs to be shut down...
We're wondering if this could be a modem issue?
If not, what could be the cause and resolution?

Lately IE6 has been crashing alot and sending error reports, about three
times a day. So, I tried to repair IE. Result, IE6 can't be repaired, version
5.0.0.3.7.1.5 of SCRRUN.DLL detected, version 5.1.0.5.0.1.0 or higher is
needed. I uninstalled, reinstalled IE6 SP1, but didn't ...

What is tvDebug.log?
I found it in C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs.

Can anyone help with this problem? I have numerous messages waiting to be
delivered but OE will only deliver the first 2, it will not allow the 3rd

I generally leave the computer powered up all the time but turn the power
off to the modem when I leave for than an hour or so.  When I power it up
again, it sometimes connects to the internet right away and sometimes never

Using Win 98SE and Mozilla Firefox 1.5
Whenever I visit Weather.com, along with the local weather I get a

I was using IE6 browser with no problems about a month ago - was able to view
images, etc.  Now I cannot view images on websites and sometimes when I try
