antivirus programs that will work on this computer.  I have tried Zone Alarm,

I'm getting the runaround about this latest critical update.  Mostly because
I have W98SE.
It was found on update scan, and it installed automatically - didn't give me
a chance to save to disk.  I have to assume that they had the update

How do you view the init string?  Is the modem long the only way to
see it?  I am not sure what the inf file places as the init streing
during the install but would like to have a look at it.
Any ideas?

I recently did a reinstall and was loading windows updates when I got to the
IDE Hard Dive cache it promted me to install another update which I didn't do
assuming it would come up on next windows update. Question: Does anyone know
what this is and where to find it. Thank You.

Here are headers from 3 different spam emails.  All have similiar
originating IP addresses.  Can anyone suggest a way to block emails using
OE6 using the first 2 or 3 fields of Original IP addresses?  (Or other
suggestions?)

This is the latest update for Windows Media 9.  I keep getting notice that I
need to update, but when I start the download from the update page, it looks
at me with no activity.  If I cancel out of that popup, Explorer crashes & I
need to reboot.  Any ideas what's going on?

This is an annoying problem that I'm not sure how to fix.  I'm using Win98SE
and OE6.
Two of us here are using OE6 to post using 2 different news servers - this
one "Fred" and another one "Sam".

I cannot right click or use the drop down in file and send to mail recipient.

Can anyone please tell me if this modem can be upgraded so I can achieve
beyond the 31.2K speed I am currently achieving. I've scoured the web for
info, but have come up empty. Motorola no longer provides driver updates on
it's site, and I've been unable to find them anywhere else.

I am running Windows 98 SE and a few days ago the controls on my monitor
display properties - settings suddenly became inactive. The colour setting
is at a minimum of 16 and the screen area setting is right down to the
minimum and I can't move it from that  -  it won't respond. ...
