Why can't I get better Resolution on a Gateway E-1400 running fully updated
Windows 98SE than 640x480 by 16 colors ?  Aren't there drivers for the
onboard Intel graphics chip on a Gatway E-1400 SFF for Windows 98 to provide
at least 256 colors and 800x600 or 24 bit unlimited ...

I have an aging Dell desktop running 98SE into which I've installed an
ethernet network card to enable me to connect to my new broadband internet
connection. I've manually configured the connection ('cos no one writes
set-up software for 98 anymore), and the internet connection ...

Finally I can browse again and to think I almost reformatted my HDD
and would of lost all my family pictures. The wierd thing is I could

HELP,  my compaq presrio 1685 using windows 98 has stopped sending me windows
update notifications. If I go to tools and click on  windows updates now I
get the window update screen but doesn't scan my laptop. Instead it says
admin only.
