I have an ESS1688 AudioDrive installed in my Compaq LTE
5300 Laptop. I am unable to hear any sounds. I can hear

Whenever I reboot my Win 98 computer I find the
Wave "Mute" box is always checked under Volume Control.  I
then have to waste time unchecking the Mute box before I
can listen to any WAV files.  How do I prevent Volume

I'm stumped.  I just installed 7.1 on my win 98 system.   The demo and any mp3 will appear to play by the movemnt on the time bar but no sound.  I tried the mute button.  Any other idea's?  Thanks much Gary

I have an old Gateway with Windows 98.  It came with a DVD
drive and player.  I recently had to completely reboot my
system with the restoration CD.  In the process I lost my
DVD player.

When i play  a video with AOL media player it picture
freezes towrds the end of the clip. AOL says it uses
Windows media player.

Whenever I boot up, the volume control of Line-In always

I reinstalled Win 98 and now the sound won't work at all.
The device manager says the drivers are not installed.
