i just got a dell laptatude with windows 98 and when i
tried to play a midi file it tells me the audio hardware
is not installed or not working. but i know i have some
audio hardware instaled becuse i can hear wav files. i

You must use wmp7.1.  Windows98 doesnt support wmp9
Now, my question.  I just installed wmp7.1 and I have Windows98.  I am getting the following error message.  COOD10BO.  Can anyone please help?  Would be greatly appreciated

my cd rom does not recognie when i place a cd in my cd
drive and it shows that there is no cd in the drive when
there is cd in the drive. what to do to solve my problem?

My sounds play for a split second and then either cut out
or get badly distorted. Running Win98. tried installing a
diff sound card, did no good. Any ideas or suggestions

I have Windows 98 SE and my computer used to have no
speakers on it. So I bought some 2.1 audio speakers
(Altec Lansing) and I plugged them and there is no audio

I have no sound on my computer and I narrowed it down to
the mixer device. When I check it's properties, it says I
have no device of this class. I don't know how this

My DVD/CD player has suddenly stopped functioning.  When a
DVD or CD is inserted, the amber light comes on and never
changes to green.  The computer is acting as if the CD is
missing.
