How can I find the type of sound card I have and the
software I need to install it.  I had the address of the
side where I could find it on the web, but lost it.  Im
using a VIA AC'97 I think, but im not sure.

Windows 98SE user. I can't get my sound to work
consistently ever since I tried upgrading to a C-Media
mixer. I've tried uninstalling/deleting and messing with
the options within Device Manager, and nothing seems to

I'm using Windows 98 and when I try to download a video, I'm getting the
error message, Invalid Syntax - Error = 800401E4.  Windows Media Player fills
up the entire screen and just stops.  It now happens for any video I try to

I get no sound when I try to play any media player or hear
audio from the web. It makes no sense and just happened
all of the sudden. I have windows 98 on an HP machine. All
the standard settings seem to be in place.

I had to have my drive reformatted after having a problem
with my computer. I now have no sound at all I don't know
how to fix this problem. Can someone help me with this?

Most of the time when I exit yahoo mail and hit start to
go to my favorites, it freezes and will not open for about
two minutes. Then it works fine. I don't get it.

I viewed my installation history from Microsoft. I didn't
download any in 2001. I can't tell if I downloaded all

The Setup program for XP found software on my PC for a
Connectix Quickcam which I discarded and removed 4 years
ago. The program is not listed in the Add/Remove Programs
on the Control Panel. I cannot find it in Device Manager

My pc does not recognize my cd rom. The message comes up
as: "There is no CD ROM attached to this PC."

I can play a drama on real player on my computer, how can

 Instead of saving an URL containing movie clip , I
opened the same URL in Windows Media Player2 V6.4.09.1128.
I am able to see the full clip but after that I am not
able to save it using "Save As" option in Media Player!.
