songs skip on windows media player 7.1 on windows 98 when playing from
internet or cds what can i do to correct this

I can't seem to find a way to play mp3 wav. The error message is MMSystem362
And I have installed various codecs
and even netshow to no avail pls help

I have a window98, my player only plays "midis" and no "wavs".
What can i check.. it played before,somehow i goofed to get a better sound
and don't remember what i shut off or turned on.

I'm using Win 98 se, 1.33 G, 512 ram. When i try to play almost any video
clip, the sound and video playback is too slow. Are there no settings to
change the playback speed?
