I was having a connection problem across my local network

i have a network between 2 winxp systems and a win 98
system. I know that xp has a built in NET SEND feature,
but it does not work on the 98 machine. is there a way to
send messages to the 98 machine from the command prompt?

I had to reinstall Windows 98 when the floppy drive on my
system needed to be replaced. In so doing I reinstalled
all my files. The only problem I had was networking back
with my office system to shares printers and files.
