Hi, does anyone know if there's a trick to getting Win98
to see a wireless network? I have installed the D-Link
card & driver, it in turn has picked up an IP from the
wireless router so it's got a physical connection but I

I have successfully connected both my home computers
(Win98 & new Dell WinXP) to the Internet through a
Linksys BEFSX41.  I have run all the Networking Wizards
on both computers and followed Linksys guide to

i have tried to connect two pc's ,one win 98 (master machine,with cabel
modem) to a xp machine
i can see files on the xp machine but for some reason this machine will not

I use VPN-1 SecureClient. Today I tried to install Linksys G wireless NIC on
my laptop. When I restarted I received this error from VPN-1 SecureClient:

I have a winXPHome machine I wish to add to an existing
network with two win98 machines. When running the XP
software on the laptop I receive a message after restart
that says my networking hardware could not be detected.

Windows 98 SE recognizes that I have an ethernet card in
the device manager and the network properties, and TCP/IP
is installed for it.  Windows seems happy with it and
claims it's working correctly (no conflicts or anything

Was able to connect my digital camera and download pics
but then somehow lost connection. When I start computer,
dialog window comes up that says "TCP/IP network

I'm trying to use a Netgear wireless USB adapater (MA111)
on my Compaq Presario running 98SE.  I have an XP
hardwired to the Netgear MR814 router - works fine.  But
when I connect the MA111 to the 98 box, the system

I am trying to get our two machines to see each other.  I
have tried everything I can think of and can't get it to
work.  We have gone through the network wizard on the XP
machine and ran the netsetup from a floppy on the laptop.
