I have a windows 98 machine that connects to a Windows 2000 domain. I
am trying to print to a windows XP shared printer. The XP machine is
NOT on the domain.

My computer gives me the message of "While initializing
device nwlink: Windows protection error" during startup.
What can I do to fix this problem?

There is/was an internet tool that would give the name if the address
was entered, the address if the name was entered, ping, trace, etc. It
was called Netgears, but it doesn't appear to be currently available.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a similar, current application?
