hello,,I have two comp hooked up with a crossover cable=each one is running
win98=both have internet access with ics==the gateway can see and access my
comp,but mine can`t see or access the gateway (for file transfer and

I've scanned the web but not found one yet.  If so, can someone please point

I have a lan made by a router and a computer connected to it. I also
would like to have another old laptop surf the net. I can only connect
it to the computer thru serial cable. Is it possible from that to surf
the net?

I set up a Belkin Wireless G router hard-wired to an XP machine and w/ a
wireless adapter in an old 98SE machine upstairs. Internet browsing is fine
on both but I hit a snag while trying to set up the home network. Walked thru

I've got a server that had to be wiped and reinstalled.  This servers only
purpose is to house data, and it's got a share on it that all the machines
acquire their data on.
When the server was reinstalled and put back online all 2000 and XP machines

Have 3 pc's on a wired network, 1 pc using a Belkin wireless pc card and a
Belkin wireless Access point wired into the hub. What happens is that we are
finding that the mouse 'sticks' after a period of time on the wireless pc.

I have three computers on a wired LAN in my house,  two are using Windows
2000 and they connect to the network OK.  The Internet works fine and I can
do file sharing between the two.
However, I am running Windows 98 on the third computer and I can get on the

I am configuring a network and need to change the ip address all the time on
a test-laptop requiring me to reboot it endlessly. Is there a way to change
the ip address of a network card without having to reboot the system?

something pretty easy to fix in 2000 or XP, but windows 98 doesn't have any
services.

encryption I have 11 laptops using WIN XP and like 6 using WIN98 all wireless

I have four remote sites that each of them belong to a different subnets and
each of the remote sites has a router.  That this four routers are connected
by a frame relay. Previously I can browse the remote PC's on the other sites
thru network neighborhood.
