I successfully linked a Win98 PC and my XP (Home) Laptop to the internet via a wireless router. However, the Win98 PC doesn't show Microsoft Network and I can't network the machines for printer and file sharing.

I have a notebook with win98 connected to a desktop with winxp. I had the microsoft network working just fine. Then all of a sudden I can't browse the network anymore from win98. Both are connected to a belkin dsl router. Internet is working ok but win98 network not working.

I have Windows 98 workstations in a network with a DHCP enabled but they are picking the 255.255.0.0 mask instead of 255.255.255.0. I also have WinXP workstations which are however picking up the correct address. Anyone one had an idea on what's causing the mismatch?
