I have 98SE.  When I use the stand.by mode (or turn off disk or monitor)
through the Power Management facilities in Control Panel, the system does
not come back and I am forced to reboot.
I have now left the options on "never" so that the monitor/disk is always on

When I try to check if I need an update using the MS update

I have been trying to send a hard disk image file across my wireless

I have Windows 98SE and a router connected to cable modem.  A laptop *XP
Home( is also connected to the router.  The router can see both computers
and I access Internet on both without any problem.
However I have a couple of problems and would like to solve the first:  the

Two networked machines (via an ADSL router, one wired, one wirless),
wired has Win98SE, wireless is XP Home.
Norton Antivirus, and Zone Alarm free on both machines (different versions).
The network works fine - I'm new to networking and to XP.

Some months ago, an IT guy linked up my Windows 98PC with my 'xp home'
pc, so that a sub-directory 'share'on windows xp could be read/written
to by both.
It worked great.

Win XP Home, WPA-PSK wireless network.
Is it advisable to do the Bindings adjustments as described on the
