I have 98SE.  When I use the stand.by mode (or turn off disk or monitor)
through the Power Management facilities in Control Panel, the system does
not come back and I am forced to reboot.
I have now left the options on "never" so that the monitor/disk is always on

I have been trying to send a hard disk image file across my wireless

I have Windows 98SE and a router connected to cable modem.  A laptop *XP
Home( is also connected to the router.  The router can see both computers
and I access Internet on both without any problem.
However I have a couple of problems and would like to solve the first:  the

Some months ago, an IT guy linked up my Windows 98PC with my 'xp home'
pc, so that a sub-directory 'share'on windows xp could be read/written
to by both.

I have an IBM Thinkpad T43 and when any user log on's to the computer,
it just stays at the logon screen after entering the password for about
3 minutes before the desktop is loaded.  A work around i have found is
