Occassionally, I use OE for mail service... but very rarely. I reformated my
disc recently and have reinstalled most programs. I just noticed when
attempting to use OE 6.0, my firewall gives me this message:

I have a peer to peer network running. Each machine has it's own IP
(10.2.3,1) etc. I used ethernet cable to connect all into a 8 port switch.
(98 and XP machines by the way)

I have PcAnywhere installed at two locations. In one location just 8.02
version of PcAnywhere for Windows 98, and at other location same
version plus PcAnywhere older version for DOS:

We have 2 xphome computers and 1/98.  All 3 connect direct to a Highspeed

All I want to do is share files between two computers.  I have one Windows
2000 computer and one Windows 98.  I also have a 3COM Superstack II Switch
3300.  I have enabled file sharing and a Workgroup on both computers.  Click

Having problems installing a PCI ethernet adapter. Have installed the
hardware OK and driver installation goes ok from supplied CD until it asks

I get this error when I try to connect to network drives.
Every time I must Logoff and logon - then I can connect.
I want it the way it's on the second machine - it asks user name and
password every time I go in Win98 and I dont nee to logoff/logon.

I'm trying to use a direct cable connection to give my XP PC access to some
files on my Win 98 laptop. Is this possible? I'm using a "laplink" type
cable. (Had success in connecting 2 W98's but am having probs with the 98 ->
XP connection).
