Trying to get a new Win 98SE setup on a laptop (IBM Thinkpad T41) to see
the internet, to no avail. Here's the setup:
Laptop is connected via wire to Buffalo Air station (I think it is a
wireless router, three computers are connected to it). The Air station

At one time there was a web site "Shields Up" that would test your computer
for stealth.  This URL does not work now.
Anyone know of another URL or program that can check for stealth ?

I have a PC with Win98SE connected to three printers -- all of which
work.
However, my networked PC running Win XP Pro can only see and print to

Friend of mine hooked up with Cogeco cable internet.  Tech guy "installed"
modem and configured pc.  Later, my friend decided to add a router to
connect a second pc.  1st pc works fine.  Router works fine.  2nd pc can't

What is Netstat Command used for ???  It seems to be running on my Win98SE.
It shows up as a runing app in my ZoneAlarm Firewall.  I doubled click

I have a fairly old computer (purchased in 1999) and last week it
started exhibiting some strange problems, i.e., there were pale blue
pinstripes all over the desktop and then after a while it would go past
the Dell and the Windows logo, but it would have a black screen instead

Have had win98se with ICS working fine for a couple of years at least but
since a reinstall/re-enable of ICS it has been acting a bit weird...
a.  DHCP wont work anymore for the client computer
