hi,i have a old computer and wish to run windows 98 in dos mode with network
support..Help needed on this subject.

I have a problem, I bought a PCMCIA Ethernet Card on the web, it's the "NEC
WL11C", when I plug it into my laptop, it won't be detected by windows : I
hear the bell, and then I choose the folder where the driver is, windows
sets it up, reboot, and then I can't use it.

I struggled with this with another windows 98 machine last week, but in the
end was able to get it worked out by installing the dsclient9x.  This machine
is a different story.  When I try to install the dsclient9x it tells me that
the version of the windows installer is too old ...

I have windows 98 installed in a virtual machine running on windows
vista. I have simple file sharing enabled on windows vista and I have
the option requiring passwords turned off. My problem is when I am in
the 98 machine trying to access a shared folder on the vista machine.
