I have an old WIN 98 PC that am using to as a "server" for our office "In
and Out" board.
I don't know if the processor is dying or the hard drive is sticking but
have found that if I restart it once a day it seems to work fine.

At work one computer I use uses Win98se
It connects wirelessly to the office router by using a BT Voyager 1050
Its been ok for months but lately during the day it still sees the router
but it drops the connection, it cant connect to collect the email or the

I have just added an old IBM Notebook to my system. It is connected to my
router.
The LAN is fine - I can access the other computers and they can access the
notebook.

When I go to add Client for Microsoft Networking and TCP/IP Protocol in
Network Configuration , nothing shows.
Click add, click Client and nothing.
Click add, click Protocol and only IEEE 802.1X Protocol shows.

Am trying to set up a friend's older laptop with wireless networking.  It
came with 2000 installed but someone at Circuit City talked her into buying
