Immediately after a boot a process starts running that
consumes almost 100% of the CPU and generates some type of
disk activity. How do I find out what is running? This is
n't normal is it? It interfers with other applications I

Hi performance experts. I wrote a console app that times writing a 100 meg
file. Takes 4 sec (so thats 25 MB/sec). I calculate that writing 16 files of
audio samples simultaneously should take 1.5 MB/sec, or 90 MB/minute. (1.5

I have a built computer, AMD K6 266mhz, 32mb Video Memory,
320mb RAM, and Windows 98.
When I start my computer, it starts with 83% system
resources free. Once I have AOL (for internet) and MSN

Lately, our computer has been freezing for no real reason.
It usually freezes when running a program involving
animation, video, or audio, though it does freeze while
just running the screen saver or Internet Explorer.
