I have a Genuine INTEL PIII 933 with 384mb of mem.  I have
2 hard drives and a cd and cdrw. I am running Win98SE and
befor logging on to the net I reboot my PC and ensure that
acording to My Computer>Properties>Performance I have up

Apparently a program is runnning and slowing down my
system, but I am not able to find it. The taskbar does not
show anything running in the background. However, when I
run scandisk it will be interrupted because there is

it is March 10 today (July 14).  When the system is turned

and run a full system scan.  I thought I may have to use
