I had to reload my Windows 98 SE and ever since, whenever I
access the Internet, every 5 minutes I have a window pop
up with a title bar of "Select Data Source".  This
continues as long as I am connected.  If I am on line an

I TRIED TO INSTALL A PRINTER ON MY COMPUTER BUT IT REQUIRES
A CPU LEVEL OF AT LEAST 6 AND 780 BY 600 PIXELS.WHAT CAN I

Lately when I go to shut down, the computer freezes at
the window that say's, "Windows is shutting down". I have
to reboot and then shut down again. Is there a fix for
this.

When I boot up, the computer goes through all the checking
of memory, loading of files and doing whatever has to be
done to get up and going. The last message on the screen

I tried starting my computer after an improper shut down.
When I start the computer, Windows 98 Plus screen appears
and freezes at that point.

ok heres the deal i start up my computer and everything
runs fine.
i defragment my hard drive every week.
when i go on the internet my computer will run slow and

After just running scan disk I have noticed I seem to have
an awful lot of space being taken up in hidden files.
How do I find out what these hidden files are and whether
I need them or not?

I've been trying to install a cable internet link on my

chance to work on the subject machine.  Based on inputs from responders to

First when I try to start, say Control Panel, the system
freezes up and does nothing, then I can't use my taskbar
or start menu.  So I then do a ctrl-alt-del and everything
