I'm having trouble defragging my computer using Windows
98.  It keeps restarting and after 10 restarts I get a
message to close other programs that are running.  I have
already closed all other programs.  I tried to defrag by

I just installed 256 mb of Ram in my DIMM slot #1 and
moved the 128 mb Ram to slot #2.
When I run Belarc Advisor, it says that slot #1 is empty
and slot 2 has 128 mb of Ram.

Since I downloaded the security patches I'm having
difficulty loading and shutting down the windows 98.

My computer is running very slow and it will not
defragment, stops at 10% and stars again. I have turned
off the screensaver.
