Hello, please help me who can. My computer freezes so
someone recommended to reload windows 98. Can you explain
in details what that means. Will that delete all existing

Recently my Windows 98 restarts after shut down. And I
always get this error messages.
1.Cannot find file ‘msinfo.exe’ or one of its components.

I uninstalled AIM and deleted all files with AIM in it.  
At start up, my computer kept trying to find the "missing
shortcut" for an AIM file.  It asked if I wanted to

I have Windows 98 on an 'e-machine' about 5 years old.
Problem 1:  PC won't shut down consistently - most often
just reboots after the 'Windows is shutting down' message
appears briefly.  (Sometimes I just have to unplug it.)  I

I was online and decided to update my security. I went to
tools then the windows update.  I downloaded all the
recommended things and the tried to restart my computer.  
Now it will not come on all the way.  Before it gets to

Does anyone know what will fix this.  Sometimes the cursor
just freezes for seconds at a time so that I have to wait
until it starts blinking again to type.  It happened twice
while typing this message.

All of a sudden I am getting the following message when my
computer boots up "IPHLPAPI.DLL" is missing or something
and it says to check the file.  Does anybody know what
this means?
