my computer starts and when it gets to desk top i get no
icons, i believe windows explorer is not running and i
cant get it to run, tried boot disk, reinstalling widows
to no avail, any help will be gratly appreciated.

After I my computer goes in standby mode it comes out but
none of the applications work. They work fine before I put
it in standby mode. I have to restart it every time after

the details claim iedll caused an invalid page fault in
module unknown at 0000:0000fc12   we have just closed that
window and the computer has worked well. We are novices
and any advice or help would be very much appreciated.

Recently, I have notice a dramatic decrease in the
performance of WIN 98. It takes 20 seconds for the control
panel to start. I get a message the RNAdmn is not

Somehow I lost all my file associations (specifically for .gif and.jpg
files) and although
I have restored iexplore as the program to open them but I no longer get to
see a thumbnail of them. I do get to see a thumbnail of a WORD HTML document

I understand the swapfile to act as virtual RAM.  Since
the HD operates at a much slower speed, I would assume
greater RAM would be better.  If the swapfile is under
200MB how much RAM should I have to eliminate the system
