Can anyone explain why the Kodak Easy Share program keeps
causing my computer to freeze up? when it freezes and I

Hi, My laptop(Latitude CPi A) gets hung pretty often
especially when Winamp is playing and m browsing or
working on word. This happens after 15-20 min. If i press
Ctrl-Alt-Del, then i get the box in which "Msgsrv32 shows

Packard Bell computer about 5 yrs old just suddenly went
blank when a friend was on her computer using the
Internet (not e-mail). She just shut it down. On restart,
it stops at "verifying DMI pool data" and goes no

I would like to wipe the computer clean and start fresh.  
Is this a job for techies or can it be done easily?  (Win

Slow performance when opening/closing folders20 Oct 2003 10:45 GMT2
I am organizing my the contents of various folders and I
may have two windows open as I do this. The time it takes
to open and close folders increases over time. Eventually
it may take over two minutes to open or close a folder.

What are SWAP files, why are they sometimes very large,
and can they be safely removed (i.e. deleted) from the
computer to save space?

I ran a routine virus scan on my computer but now when I
boot up there is an error message saying that the
file "info32.exe" is not found or missing the pathway.  
And now my internet is choppy and delayed as well as some

When I start up my computer I get the message "A Required
file PSAPI.DLL was not found". This happens towards the
end of the startup sequence when the icons are loading on
the task bar in the right lower corner next to the clock.

How do you stop so many programs from starting up on your
computer and going on the lower left taskbar at startup?
It takes 10-12 minutes for my windows to finish bootup and
ready to use.  I think it is starting too many things.

When I shut down to DOS mode, and I don't load any drivers of any sort.  I find I can't type exit to restart.  The HDD starts running a bit for 2 sec.  then hangs.  ????? Any ideas?

Quite often when I boot up my windows 98 I get the
following message:
 "This page has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down.

very often i get an error message ' invalid page fault at
kernel32.dll'. After that, i can't use any media
applications like WMP or winamp, and i have to restar each
time. It also seems to be the same error when explorer
