Does anyone know how to determine which programs are open
and running within Windows 98?
My 2nd older PC is running slowly and I've attempted to
defrag and scan disk cleanup.  However, there are

I have a house-bound friend who calls me whenever he has

just bought an amtron 1.5 mgh, 256 mg ram, 30 gig hdd,
and loaded it with windows 98se. In about 15 min. or
less, it starts acting like it is cacheing memory. I have
checked for conflicts, all seems to be within normal

When I boot-up I get an error message..."Cannot
find 'svcinit.exe' (or one of it's components).  Make sure
the path and file name are correct and that all required
