Displays message "Windows Shutting Down" but does not and refuses to take mouse commands. Computer shuts down immediately with off button but reboots again with the same display and message as above. Help!

Between Internet Explorer and browsing through directories, my computer is so slow! Just to load any page on IE 6.0 it's taking about 50% longer to load that page than it did before, often as long as 200 to 300%

Should there be an options popup box when connecting a USB camera or card reader to a Windows 98 SE computer? On this computer there is no indication when plugging in the device that it has been recognised. However it appears as a removable drive in My Computer

I upgraded hardware of some pcs 2 months ago (motherboard, cpu, memory, video, lan, etc) and I kept hds and I reinstalled Win98 se on it. The chipsets are Intel. All the pcs now have 128MB or 256 MB RAM.

Folders take ages to open when exploring from the Desktop. However, when I exlore via Outlook (using the My Documents shortcut)the folders open quickly. Files open normally either way. It's just folders I have a problem with.
