Just recently the programme closes down and goes to restart when I am in the middle of a task or programme. Most annoying as I lose what I was doing and have to start over - and then it happens again!

When I try to defrag or scandisc within Windows 98 the system loops. In the defrag it gives a message 'drive's contents changed:restarting'. This process can carry on for hours.
