Double on C:\ brings up 2001 turbo tax install19 Nov 2003 03:20 GMT1
I'm a computer consultant - client showed me today on her
WIN98se machine that in MY COMPUTER, when you double click
on c:\ drive , it brings up the installation for Turbo Tax
2001. It takes you 4 or 5 screens into the install and

My computer has been acting funky. It wont scandisk or
defrag. It freezes up often and it is slow. I checke the
memory in system tools and it says we hve all Free space,
no used.

I am receiving random fatat exception error messages after
my computer has been on for awhile.  They are not always
the exact same message but similiar.  The latest one:

I let my 6 gb hard drive get full and started having
problems. I freed up almost 2 gb and was able to run scan
disk but when I run disk defrag. I get a message that says

i have just removed nero express using their removal tool
and now when i start up i get a message as windows is

correct the Texas Instruments PCMCIA problem I am
encountering on my notebook.  But, the TechNote states

Cleaned startup issues, eliminated Swen, and lockups are
now occurring no matter if in email, MSWord, MSProject or
whatever.  I Click on anything and it may take 30 seconds
to a minute before re-engages.  I assume it is a memory

Just received this in an email from an acquaintance who
received it from a relative.  It could have originated
anywhere.  Could you advise as to accuracy of content, and
