When I attempted to open Microsoft Word, I got the
following message:  "The file OLEAUT32.DLL is out of
date.  The program requires a newer version."  Also, "The
Visual Basic environment could not be initialized."

I heard windows 98 doesn't allow more than 256mb ram?

Control panel opens very slowly, then when trying to do
simple things (like changing date/time) it hangs up.  When
hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, it says "not responding".  What causes
this and how to fix it?

I am trying to attach a USB Flash Disk (32M Size) to my
Win 98 computer. The system asks me for the drivers all
the time and I dont't know were I can find them (the disk
is no name and I don't know who the manufacturer is).

When I try to press the start button in Windows 98, the
menu pops up for about two seconds.  Then it closes.  In
order to get to any of the programs I want to access I
have to know the keyboard shortcuts letters to open them.

a 40 mg h/d & 128 of RAM.  I've had very few problems with

Win 98.........Just got a new ADSL modem (free from the ISP). Installed OK
but suddenly I have it dropping offline etc.I think the USB power is
intermittent. Anyway, I am now at the point where the machine will hang on
booting if the modem is attached, but boots OK when it isn't!! I ...

I'm in the process of tweaking the Windows file folder.  Can anyone tell me
where I can find a complete listing of the files with an explanation of what
part of Windows uses these files?  I know quite a few of them already...but
I need to know the rest.  TIA.

Every time I start the maintance wizzard, it seems to
stick.  It never progresses no matter how long I let it
run.  This is a new problem as it has worked appropriately

I receive a Error Starting Program message when I turn on
my computer.  It says.  The ENFORCE.DLL file is linked to
missing export MMREG.DLL:4
I cannot use CD game disks or a music CD in the CD-ROM

After running (even if not using) my thinkpad for about 3
hours, the mouse starts sticking, audio becomes warbled,
and I have to restart to get anything going again
