I tried to "Update Driver," (Display,"settings), in my
Windows 98, 2nd Edition, and I totally lost my 256 color.
Need a new driver? My computer came with Windows
installed -- I have no disk.

I am trying to defrag my nieces PC.  It is running on
Windows 98 but everytime we start it defraging it just
hangs.  No progress at all.

  When I put any disc into my R/RW drive nothing happens.
I go to "my computer" and select "drive F" which is my
R/RW drive, I get the message as follows....F:\is not

I am running Win98se and have run out ot space on c drive.
I've been told that I can gain easy space just by moving
my swap files to d drive but do not know how to do
this...any advice?

PC was 95 ugraded to 98SE & converted FAT->FAT32 (about 2
yrs), 64MB RAM, 3GBHDD (1.7GB free), 96MB virtual mem.
Neither ScanDisk or Defrag will run claiming not enough
mem - they have run in the past.  Virtual mem user defined

The strangest thing is going on with my computer, it's
restarting by its self. With out any warnning it will do
it and then it will start up with that "you didn't shut
down my computer right" screen. Can someone tell me what's

Computer starts with black screen, different modes listed.
Message in "performance" is Drive A and Drive C are using
MS DOS compatibility mode file system. What can I do to
remedy this problem?

A FRIEND REBUILT MY DRIVES DUE TO SLOW RESPONSE TIMES OF
MY COMPUTER. NOW I CAN ONLY ACCESS 2GB OF THE 12GB ON MY
HARD DRIVE.  THIS HAS CRIPPLED MY PC.  SOLUTION PLEASE
