My system will not defrag. It goes to 10% complete then
stops. Can someone help?

I run win 98se and I have a problem booting my machine.
from shutdown, I boot and it gets to a black screen saying:
Incorrect boot record. remove all disks and insert correct
boot disk. Now, there are no disks in any of the drives.
