I upgreaded from a 500mhz comp. to a pen. 2.4ghz which should be about 5 times faster. When it starts up it get to the windows 98 logo then it sits there for about 30 sec. before it go on. I've shut off almost everything in

I seem to have far to many programs running the back ground than req'd. Also startup takes a long time? With no programs running ctrl/atl/del shows 16 programs running! What is the minimum and how do I resolve this!

I was told recently that Win98 and ME only can use 128MB of RAM and that I need to upgrade to 2000 or XP to utilize my 640MB of RAM. Is there any validity to this argument? Using Dreamweaver MX my system resources get depleted

I am getting this message every time I close Internet Explorer. I have run Norton utilities and the Windows utilities and it still persists. The message is: IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff9db61.
