On Windows XP I know there is a very simple way to do a
windowws System Restore.  What about on 98??? I am
desperate here.  Ifound nothing about it in the manual or
anywhere else.  What do I need to do this? Do I need a

My poor old laptop running Win98SE has only 6GB on the HD,
and almost 1GB is the pagefile.sys. Is there a way i can
knock this file size way down without destroying my OS?

Ao of a sudden my 2 hard drives are running on msdos
compatibity.  This happened after I installed some patches
downloaded from Microsoft.  I've tried updating drivers in
device manager, but am given the message that I'm using

When I sign into my msn acct i keep getting that a fault
has occured at toolbar.dll with a ton of other stuff
behind it.  Could someone please tell me how to fix this.

What would cause my pc clock to run fast? After rebooting
the time corrects itself. Actually the whole computer
speeds up, programs included.

My computer freezes when the screen says "Windows 98 is
Shutting Down". This only happens when I pick "shut down"
and happens occassionally.

My defragmentor does not work even when I disconnect from
DSL.
Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated.

I am having trouble waking a computer from sleep mode.  It
is running windows 98.  I have made some changes both in
hardware and software.  I have installed a HP scanner with
its software.  And I have installed Norton Systemworks 03.

The defrag is not working on my system. I have attempted
several times to get it to run and it make the noise like
it is working but never gets past 1%. What am I doing
wrong. Help. It used to work. My available space is down

I keep getting this error message lately...I have tried
everything i can think of to solve this...Re-loading
win98..defrag..cleaning out temp files..nothing seems to
work,,any ideas??

My computer's defragmenting tool is not working...
I know it takes a while for it to check for errors before
it actually starts saying 1% then so on..but I can't get
it past 1% working before it starts over.

When I boot up my computer my taskbar looks normal,
however it is like it is always frozen. I click on it and
nothing happens. Eventually all the spaces where things

The computer seems to work fine and then the error

Have a machine that when you shut down, gets an error of
Defualt IME. I can either wait,end task rcancel. If I
click on wait, after 20 seconds, the desktop comes back
and then I have to tell it shutdown again, and then it
