my computer has been slow so i tryed to defrag and scan
disk (at separate times). Every time  Iwould do this it
would restart itself and then later say another program is
writing to it. I had no other programs up so I don't know

I have recently had trouble with my computer and, now,

When I boot-up the start menu does not appear. I have
tried the safe mode and it still does not appear. How can

Forgive me if this should be obvious! It's regarding plug-in USB 2.0 hubs,
giving four extra sockets.  Must the original USB on the computer be 2.0 as
well or do these things work to upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0?

Whenever I try to shutdown windows98, I get a blue screen
with a windows in shutting down message but nothing
happens. The only way to shut down is a hard shutdown.  If
anyone has the answer to this I'd be greatly appreciative.

After exiting out of microsoft excel 2000 the system
immediately locks and after pressing alt + ctrl +delete I
receive an error message in a big white box that says:
The system is dangerously low on resources

stick of RAM that brings the total to 512, the only
problem is that it is not being recognized. My users
manual says I do not have to make any bios or hardware
