I wanted to experiment with removing the windows logon so
I could do it on another computer and I created a profile
for myself and when I followed the instructions for how to
remove it, it still is there, no matter what I do.  I've

Hi, when I try to shut down I get a blue screen with a
fatal exception 0E @ 0028:C029610B. When I hit Enter I get
a SECOND blue screen with a fatal exception 0D @
0000:00000000. I then have to shut the computer off

I keep getting this message "H.V Frequency Over Range"
after my computer loads. It appears instead of the
desktop. I think it is because the desktop screen area
settings were changed. Is there anyway to fix the problem

Can't send a reply so have to make it a new message.
HDCopy does the job, I know, but it sets a partition
identically the same size as the smaller disk. Did you
find a way around it to have a large or no partition??

To open a TXT-file in NotePad by means of SendTo-function
I proceed as follows: In My Computer window Right-click
TXT-file's icon, in menu select the item named SendTo, then
double-click the item named NotePad. No effect at all!!

why is it that i all of the sudden can not view images
unless i right click the square where the image is
supposed to be and choose "show picture"? how do i fix

When the computer starts up a dos message of "Signal Error HF:0.0 KHz
LF:0.0 Hz" comes on for a few seconds and then the screen goes black
and stays that way. It does this everytime the computer starts and
won't get any farther. Please Help

My system resources are always in the 70% range.  At one
time they were higher. I run Norton AntiVirus and a
spyware remover software, but cannot get above 70%.  Any
suggestions as to how I can free up more resources?

hours and nothing shows how much has been completed in the
dialog box.  How do I know it is working?

I am running on Windows 98SE.  After I shutdown my
computer, the powerlight blinks and the drive light
flashes.  I've tries several things including Microsoft's
clean-boot troubleshooting.  Nothing specific seemed to

is required to run exe.  i was told i might have a virus
and to download f-prot. the only problem i have is that i

Using Western Digital's program to copy disks, copied my
HD to a larger one. With new HD, W98 begins to start so
disk is being read, but after loading my virus checking it
continues and then stops with a C:/ --  waiting for
