I have several older computers that I wish to completely clean and remove old programs and essentially all personal stuff. I am not opposed to reformatting teh hard drive but really don't know how. Would like to take them

My system resources drop to 56% with an Earthlink connection only. I took a look at my C:drive and noticed that my win386.swp swap is 253mb is this my permanent swap file? Can I delete or rename this file?

I recently updated my norton system works. I had not done a defrag for quite some time so I did so. How long is a reasonable time for it to finish? Obviously more fragmented more time but....hours and hours and hours!

Win98 will only boot into "safe mode". Shuts down OK but stays in "Safe Mode" when re-booted. Any suggestions? Edd@bnNorth.net

When I run msconfig, under the autoexec.bat tab, there are four commands. Each of them is the same: @C:\windows\COMMAND\scanreg.exe/opt I will appreciate any help.
